It is cool and not that humid; the wind softly blowing, taking away the disturbing vapor. Back in my city, which is located in a basin, the whole place is surrounded by a thick layer of cloud, so all the humidity is locked beneath, and in summer the temperature can be as high as 40 degrees.
Coolness is fine, but the sunshine makes it even better. For me, who don’t usually see much sunshine even in the summer( because of the layer of cloud, too), days in Rochester look just like movie settings.
I love the way you're combining observations of what your experience in Rochester is like so far, focusing on the unexpected summer weather, and comparing it to where you are coming from. I feel like I really understand some of the differences of your experience. It's really interesting, too, because I know Rochester is famous for its snow (and we do often get quite a lot!) but it is funny how rarely we talk about how beautiful the summer really is. I'm also a big fan of the spring and fall. I look forward to continuing to read about your observations and experience!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, 40 sounds super hot!
