I am a freshman who is attending the summer immersion
program and I am going to introduce some places students in Rochester would
miss but are really great. The place I would like to recommend today is Hamlin
Beach. It is located not far from the campus, only about fifteen minutes
driving from here. The beach is really broad and clean.
You can feel free to
bring volleyball or frisbee if you want to play with your friends. The water here
is not so cold and pretty pure, and because its lake water, swimming is more
comfortable here.If you feel hungry after enjoying yourself, there will be a food truck which provide delicious food, cheese burger and buffalo chicken are strongly recommended. Also, there is barbecue places almost everywhere, so it fits you when you prefer cooking yourself as well. Last, don’t forget to take all your trash, there is no place for rubbish inside the park so remember to bring a bag for all your stuff. Hope you have a great experience.
I love those foods too! These pictures are great - as someone really familiar with Rochester it makes me want to make sure to take time out and go to the beach. It's so wonderful you're writing these posts so we can all visit (or at least live vicariously through you and your great pictures) these wonderful treasures in Rochester. One question I have is what you mean by "swimming is more comfortable here"? What makes it better swimming in a lake? What it is better than?
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are fantastic! And I love that you offered food recommendations. This also reminds me of a typical travel blog, since you highlight what the destination has to offer (e.g., clean beach, clear water, food truck) and things to keep in mind (e.g., bringing along a garbage bag since no disposal containers are available on the beach). Did you go swimming at the beach while you were there? Or are your comments about the comfortable swim based on something else?
